Tampa Bay Lightning 2011-12 preview

  • The Tampa Bay Lightning were one win away from the Stanley Cup final last season and with very few changes to the star-studded lineup there is reason to believe they will make a deep playoff run again this season.

Despite an abundance of skill, though, there are still plenty of questions in Tampa Bay. Which Steven Stamkos will we see: the unstoppable force who started last season on a torrid pace or the player who struggled to find the back of the net down the stretch? Will father time finally catch up to Dwayne Roloson?

On this installment of the THN Puck Panel we address these questions and a few others as we preview the 2011-12 Tampa Bay Lightning. Host Edward Fraser is joined by senior writer Ken Campbell and web editor Rory Boylen to discuss… Keeping the core together… The three-headed monster of Martin St-Louis, Vincent Lecavalier and Steven Stamkos… Why this should be a breakout season for Victor Hedman… And Mathieu Garon as an insurance policy for the aging, but solid Roloson.
